About Trance Space

Trance Space is an independent listening journal for people curious about trance and the wider electronic music around it. We write about records, artists, sounds and the craft of listening.

Our archive mixes personal criticism with practical guides. Reviews are editorial perspectives, and publication dates organise this retrospective collection rather than claiming a historical news event occurred on that date.

Our listening map

Trance Space follows melody, memory, and the long-form dance floor: a listening map of trance music, its artists, records, labels, and the sounds that connect them. From early rave and classic trance to progressive, uplifting, vocal, and psychedelic styles, the journal helps curious listeners find a way into the music.

Explore the reviews for perspectives on individual records, the library for listening guides, and artist profiles for context. The site is written for people who want to understand what they hear and discover where to listen next.
